The Mandarin Oriental in Guangzhou played host to this years’ Destination Britain China event, organised by VisitBritain. Along with many other fantastic travel product providers such as The Beatles Story, Blenheim Palace, and Windermere Lake Cruises, See Britain were in attendance for a meeting-filled two days.
See Britain presented its products and services to over 40 Chinese travel companies during the course of the two days, giving information about our unique experiences, first-class transportation options, Mandarin-speaking tour guides, and luxury accommodation.
On the first day of the event, See Britain Director, Rob Jones, gave a presentation to members of the edding photography experience. Pre-wedding photography is a very popular “must-have” for engaged couples in China, so we have created a unique take on this, and provide customers the opportunity to live for a day like a Downton Abbey character, spending the morning and early afternoon at a country manor house in South Oxfordshire, followed by a ride in a 1920s Rolls Royce, before having traditional afternoon tea served on a hand-made mahogany boat while drifting down one of the most picturesque stretches of the River Thames.
The Gala Dinner during DB China provided fantastic entertainment, with sponsors of the event giving prizes to a few lucky winners, including a free tour of the Beatles Story in Liverpool – something we can personally recommend having done it ourselves!
As well as meeting with many Chinese travel companies, we also made sure to expand our network in the UK, and made some great connections with British Travel Product Providers, ranging from accommodation to experiences.
If you are a Chinese travel company and would like to know how you can work with us to provide your customers with the best possible trip to the UK, add us on WeChat: See-Britain. Likewise, if you are a travel product provider here in the UK and want to work with us to bring more Chinese customers to your hotel or experience, our Director would be delighted to talk to you – Rob@See-Britian.com
