The Royal Berkshire Shooting School is often regarded as the most innovative and forward thinking shooting school in the UK.
With eight full time professional shooting instructors and having one of the most expansive shooting grounds in the country, the Shooting School is recognised as the finest facility of its kind.
You’ll learn from the same instructors who have taught the Royal Family, as well as many A-list celebrities. You’ll be given official caps to take home with you as well as photography of the day to remember this unforgettable, quintessentially British experience.
09:00 – 09:30
Arrive for breakfast of coffee, orange juice, bacon butties, sausage baps, croissants and Danish pastries. Registration will also take place whereby guests will be asked whether they are advanced, intermediate or novice guns.
Guests will be introduced to their instructors. Shooting will commence in their peer groups with no more than 6 guests to an instructor. The emphasis of this part of the day will be on getting the novice shots to understand gun safety and etiquette and achieving success in hitting their first clays. The experts and intermediates will be encouraged to improve their technique and marksmanship.
All the guests return to the lodge for refreshments during which time teams of 4 guns will be made up from each of the categories of experience, prior to a fun competition
Competition commences over a selection of stands from the hundred traps throughout the school.
The shooting will be concluded with each team shooting a simulated pheasant flush with 30-40 clays coming over the team in 3-4 minutes.
All guests return to the lodge or to a local hostelry for lunch before which a fun prize giving will take place.
